In Shotts alone, Axione is planning to deploy 11 street cabinets and over 55km of fibre optic cable through existing underground ducts and overhead poles.
“Working in co-ordination with the local authority and local social organisations, Axione aims to reuse as much existing infrastructure as possible to keep disruption from road closures, digging to a minimum, and to roll out as fast as possible”, explains Joanne Bain, Network Clerk of Works for Axione UK.
